The initial plan was to begin the work with the school room roof, but it became quickly apparent that the scaffolding was inadequate given the pitch of the roof.
So calls were made and additional scaffolding was arranged.
Attention was switched to the cloak room roof and good progress was made.
The roof was completely stripped of slates, battens and the panelling beneath.
Some areas of dry rot that could be seen from inside were revealed in full but on the whole the woodwork was in good condition.
