There are several lintels that need replacing and adding throughout the building.
The most crucial at this stage are the one above the door between the cloak room and school room as this is collapsing at one end due to dry rot and a new lintel is needed above the old fireplace to support the brickwork above it. The chimmney does not sit above this fireplace so it is only supporting the brickwork and roof above it.

Part of the floor in the cloak room was removed to ensure the props to hold up the wall above the door had firm footings. All the dry rot meant that it finally gave way and collapsed.
