We were told that this was old the bike shed.
It was lean-to structure with a corrugated metal roof that was against the stone wall of the school room and covered the back door to the school.
The wood of the bike shed was very rotten in places and it was generally unsound.
Its removal also meant that air could get at the stone work and we could lower the soil level in the gap between the house and school in an attempt to prevent further issues with damp.
